Founder Dr. Carol Hendricks

Had been a practicing neurologist in Tucson, Arizona, since 1999, focusing on coordinating  all the best traditional and alternative therapies to optimize patient outcome. In 2004, she added the use of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) as an adjunctive neurological therapy for her patients as part of a complex neurological recovery program. Her private practice was dual practice: hyperbaric oxygen therapy and neurology.

Working with Veterans and First Responders:
Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) were the main focus of her work with our military veterans and first responders . As a regular writer for her blogs, she discuss HBOT as an effective treatment for TBI, the misdiagnoses of PTSD that can lead to unnecessary medication, and the hard-won triumphs over TBI and PTSD. It’s was a tremendous her honor to work with our servicemen and women, helping them recover and to improve their quality of life. Sadly she passed in Oct, 2025 passing on her legacy to a very dedicated staff who vow to carry on her work to help our veterans and first responders through Hyperbaric Oxygen treatments and other health and nutrition needs.

Bryan Kelsey, MPAS, PA-C

Physician Assistant | NorthStar Health & Wellness

Bryan Kelsey is a Physician Assistant, combat veteran, and clinical provider at NorthStar Health & Wellness. With over 7 years of experience spanning military service, emergency medicine, and clinical practice, he brings a performance-driven and patient-centered approach to modern healthcare.

Bryan earned his degree in Nutritional Science and Biochemistry before completing his Physician Assistant training at the University of Utah, one of the nation’s top-ranked PA programs. His clinical background includes pain management, musculoskeletal medicine, and diagnostic care, where he performed joint injections, trigger point therapy, and comprehensive patient evaluations.

Prior to medicine, Bryan served as a U.S. Army Military Police Paratrooper and sustained a traumatic brain injury (TBI) after being struck by an IED during Operation Iraqi Freedom, for which he was awarded the Purple Heart. That experience shaped his understanding of recovery, resilience, and the limitations of traditional healthcare—and continues to influence how he treats patients today.

Following the passing of the clinic’s founder, Dr. Carol Henricks, Bryan stepped into a leadership role at NorthStar Health & Wellness to continue and strengthen its mission. He now focuses on delivering proactive, performance-based care that goes beyond symptom management.

His approach centers on proactive optimization—not reactive medicine—integrating hormone therapy, medical weight loss, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy to improve energy, body composition, cognitive performance, and long-term health outcomes.

Bryan is certified in functional medicine applications of hyperbaric oxygen therapy through the International Board of Undersea Medicine, allowing him to incorporate hyperbaric oxygen therapy into individualized treatment plans.

He is committed to helping veterans, first responders, and motivated individuals take control of their health and perform at a higher level.
